Santa Clara, CA (August 19, 2013) – Innovative Ventures International Corporation, the owners of Defianz brand, announced the promotion of Piyush Dharamshi as the Chief Operating Officer for India operations.
Piyush will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operational functions for the Indian arm of the company. “Piyush has been a key part of our initial success, and we are thrilled to promote him to this critical position,” said Ankur Shah, CEO of Defianz India. “Piyush joined the company in 2012 as Venture Head, India and quickly progressed to a Director role within the Business Planning division in less than a year’s time. “We plan to aggressively expand our pan-India sales & distribution network over the next two years and we are confident that Piyush will be an important asset to help our organization reach its goals,” said Mr.Shah.
Before joining the Defianz India team, Piyush Dharamshi was the Chief Accounts & Operations manager with Azad Shipping, Mumbai, India. He has earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from S K Somaiya College (Mumbai), graduating with an Accounting & Finance specialization. Commenting on his new role, Mr. Dharmashi said, “We have a strong team in India and I am excited about the opportunity to lead our office into the next phase of expansion and development. I am really looking forward to applying my learnings over the past 15 years to the emerging market in India.
